Journey to Arabia to be broadcasted next April the 5th at Canal 33
Canal 33 will broadcast a summary chapter of 60 minutes of the documentary series Arabia next Monday April the 5th at 10,30pm. This is the first broadcasting for the series created and directed by Jordi Llompart and produced by Orbita Max in coproduction with Televisió de Catalunya.
Journey to Arabia follows the expedition of Pasquale Scaturro – an American geophysicist and adventurer - and Michel L’Huillier – a Chilean travel photographer who lives in Barcelona- that take the challenge of crossing the entire Arabian Peninsula and the Rub Al-Khali, the most inhospitable desert on earth. Throughout their emotional journey they discover the beauty and mysteries of this region, which is the cradle of fascinating civilizations. The 4-months expedition constitutes the storyline of the documentary series, and it explains the common roots of a civilization born with the ancient nomadic customs. Throughout the last century Arabia has faced a fast development, with new borders and States in which tradition and modernity offer a deep contrast, always sheltered by the Islam and the Bedouins’ heritage.
The other three episodes of Journey to Arabia, 52 minutes each, will be broadcasted next summer 2010.
