This is a series of thee chapters of 52 minutes and a summary produced by Orbita Max in coproduction with Televisió de Catalunya. Pasquale Scaturro – an American geophysicist and adventurer - and Michel L’Huillier – a Chilean travel photographer who lives in Barcelona- take the challenge of crossing the entire Arabian Peninsula and the Rub Al-Khali, the most inhospitable desert on earth. Throughout their emotional journey they discover the beauty and mysteries of this region, which is the cradle of fascinating civilizations. The 4-months expedition constitutes the storyline of the documentary series, and it explains the common roots of a civilization born with the ancient nomadic customs. Throughout the last century Arabia has faced a fast development, with new borders and States in which tradition and modernity offer a deep contrast, always sheltered by the Islam and the Bedouins’ heritage.
