LEONOR WATLING WILL BE THE FAIRY IN THE MAGIC TALE
The Spanish actress and singer Leonor Watling will be part of the cast in The Magic Tale playing the role of a wise and exotic fairy. This is the first Spanish feature film in 3D for large format theatres, digital theatres and conventional 35mm theatres.
The actress has worked in more than 40 film and television titles, and became specially known after being nominated for the Goya award to best actress in 1998. She’s worked in films such as “Talk to Her” by Almodovar and “My life without me” by Isabel Coixet.
She’s also the lead voice and lyricist of Spanish band Marlango.
The Magic Tale is the magical journey of a girl to Africa, where she’ll live amazing experiences with other kids, wild animals and nature, that will show her the path to the world of imagination and meaning of life. It is and educative and imaginative story, a contemporary classic.
From March through May the shooting took place in Namibia and South Africa and right now The Magic Tale is in preproduction for the following shooting to take place in Barcelona in July.
Along with Leonor Watling, The Magic Tale counts with the Namibian children Eva Gerretsen and Raymond Mvula as the main characters, the Spanish Adrià Collado and Verónica Blume, and the veteran South African actor John Whiteley.
